This original 1974 Chrysler–Plymouth dealer mailer was sent directly to customers during the height of the fuel-conscious small-car era. Titled “Eight Great Small Car Buys from Plymouth,” it highlights Plymouth’s compact lineup alongside value comparisons, economy claims, and real-world usability messaging that defined mid-1970s automotive marketing.

What makes this example especially appealing is its dealer provenance. The mailer was issued by Ted Pepper, Inc., Loudonville/Latham, New York, with dealership information printed on the back panel. Regional dealer mailers like this were produced in smaller quantities than standard showroom brochures and were intended to be read, folded, and mailed—making survivors far less common today.

The piece opens to eight full pages, featuring Valiant, Duster, Scamp, Gold Duster, and related Plymouth models, along with mileage charts, comparison tables, interior photography, and lifestyle imagery. It also includes mid- and full-size Chrysler and Plymouth offerings, providing a broader snapshot of the 1974 lineup.
