This unique 8½" x 7" bi-fold brochure highlights one of the rarest Shelby GT500s ever built — the Candyapple Red convertible prototype assigned to Carroll Shelby himself. Built in 1966, the car was used for media shoots, executive transport, and later became the most photographed GT500 of its era. The brochure appears to be a museum or collector’s edition reprint from around 2003, celebrating the car's historical significance and extensive documentation.
When opened, the display piece measures 20½" wide and presents the full story, from early production to magazine appearances and even a brief period where it was rumored stolen. It’s a great display item for collectors, Mustang enthusiasts, or fans of Shelby American history.
At Vintage Art Garage, we’re passionate about preserving classic car and truck memorabilia, ensuring every item captures the nostalgia of a bygone era.
