1966 Plymouth Hemi — The Paper Clip Test
“Stick a paper clip on the flywheel and our balancing rig will tell you where it is.”
This original 1966 Plymouth magazine ad puts the Hemi engine in the spotlight. Suspended by cables, the engine illustrates Plymouth’s approach to checking engine balance. The original copy explains how pickups detected the location and strength of an imbalance so metal could be added or removed where needed.
With its large engine photograph and a red Plymouth pictured below, this is a great piece for someone who enjoys the mechanical side of Mopar history.

What Sets Our Prints Apart
This isn’t just a flimsy magazine page tossed in a frame. Each original vintage ad is carefully dry mounted to acid-free foam board for a smooth, wrinkle-free presentation. We then finish it with a white conservation mat and a new black wood frame, complete with glass and hanging hardware.
All mounting and framing is done in our shop. You receive a finished piece of automotive wall art, ready to hang in your garage, workshop, office, or den.
A Great Gift for a Mopar Enthusiast
A great choice for a Plymouth owner, Hemi fan, Mopar collector, or the engine builder who appreciates the details behind the horsepower. It makes a thoughtful birthday, retirement, or holiday gift, with no extra framing needed.

I absolutely love it. Wrapped and packaged super well. Wasn't nothing getting through that! Probably one of the top items that I've bought online. Hard to choose sometimes since you can't visualize it in real time.
